Somewatersports on Oahu
When the weather becomes warm enough to enjoy some of the best watersports in the world, then it’s time to head out to one of the many water parks in the United States. For a lot of people who visit Florida and Atlantic Ocean states, they think they’re going to the “big ones” like Lake Las Vegas, Miami, or even Orlando. While these are definitely places with lots of water fun, there are actually plenty of beaches and rivers throughout the United States. In some cases, there aren’t even any “big” watersports in the U.S., but just popular activities like kayaking, canoeing, jet skiing, snorkeling, or fishing. That’s why we want to highlight some of the most popular water sports in the United States, from Hawaii to the Grand Strand.
With so much to do on the beach area of Oahu, there is literally no way to describe the whole place. If you are looking for watersports on the fly, consider renting a pontoon boat, jet ski, or wakeboard before you hit the water. Aloha Watersports does have two unique locations in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; one on the famous oceanfront beach area, and another on the pristine banks of the Grand Strand. One day you may even want to explore the Historic Papago Park for some free entertainment while you’re on vacation. However, if you prefer staying dry, there are plenty of indoor facilities available for your enjoyment.
Jet skis are very popular on the North Myrtle Beach area. Two popular locations to rent jet skis are the Deep South Water Sports Facility, which has over forty acres of space for jet ski rental, and Emerald Coast Jet Ski Park which has an impressive twenty-two acres with several interactive exhibits and activities. There are many other local locations with jet ski rental available. Some of our favorite watersports include wakeboarding, banana boating, wake surfing, kite surfing, wake skiing, wind surfing, fishing, jet skiing, tubing, jet skiing, and paragliding. All of these watersports can be rented from any local travel agent. This makes it easy to plan a vacation without having to spend a lot of time and money planning your activities.
Wakeboarding is one of the fastest growing sports on Oahu, but it’s also one of the most popular on the island. If you are new to the sport, you will want to visit Diamond Head Park for the beginning of your experience. Diamond Head Park has restrooms, picnic tables, pavilions, courts, and much more. While at Diamond Head Park, also check out the legendary “Big Banana Boat” wakeboard ride! This incredible ride is only offered seasonally, but it’s well worth the trip when you get the opportunity.
On Oahu, you will find a large number of activities on all types of water. Some of the more common water sports on Oahu include surfing, kayaking, snorkeling, diving, sailboat racing, jet skis, banana boating, windsurfing, wind surfing, and so much more. If you live on the east side of Oahu, you will have access to the sandy beaches on the north shore, while the west shore is served by the rocky cliffs of the Pali Lookout. For those who enjoy water sports on Oahu, there are numerous rentals shops for everything from jet skis and scuba gear to kayaks and snorkels. You can even rent a pontoon boat to take your family to see the exotic fish in the ocean.
For those who prefer other types of water sports on Oahu, you should look into a jet ski rental. There are several jet ski rentals shops on the island that cater to jet skis and other water sports equipment. These rentals are often available seasonally, so check in advance if you want to try one of these adventures during the summer months. You can even reserve a place on a jet ski rental boat for a family reunion on Oahu.
If you like to charter boats for various water adventure activities, you will find there are many boat charter companies on Oahu. These companies will usually provide you with a boat and all of the amenities that come with it, including food, showers, entertainment, and of course, dinner. A good company will provide you with an itinerary for the day and a map so that you know exactly where you will be going and when you will be there. Many of these companies will not operate due to weather permitting, but others will. It will really depend on what the operator can offer you and the type of charter you are looking for.
If you love to fish, snorkeling, or just sail, you might want to consider taking a ride on a jet ski, banana boat, or any other water sport boat on Oahu. Many of these boats are available for rent on most evenings and weekends. For those who love to party, there are plenty of bars on the island where you can drink and dance the night away – or at least that is what you can do in the water while you wait for your boats to arrive.
